Dental Implants

Endodontic procedures are intended to save your natural dentition; however, at times this is not possible. When Endodontic procedures are not feasible or the treatments are not successful the only option that remains would be extraction of the affected tooth.

There are several different alternatives to treatment that are available to us for replacing a missing tooth. One of the best methods of tooth replacement is placement of a dental implant. Implants are state of the art replacements for missing teeth

An implant is an artificial root system that is surgically placed into your jaw bone. After a period of stabilization the implant is then used as the base for placement of a crown. This will provide form and function of natural teeth. Although no artificial system is better that your natural dentition, implants can come very close to accomplishing this task.

Dental implants are usually made of titanium and other materials that are compatible with the human body.

Dental implants have been used for several decades by patients of all ages. They can be utilized to replace a single tooth, several teeth or simply act as support for different types of dentures.
