Meet Dr. Jakob

Dr. Alen Jakob, a native New Yorker, graduated from Case School of Dental Medicine in Cleveland, OH (2012). During his time there, Dr. Jakob developed a deep interest in the history, intricacies, and art of Endodontics.

As a student at Case Western, Dr. Jakob served as president of the Endodontics club and was awarded the prestigious student achievement award by the American Association of Endodontists. During his after-school hours, he volunteered at The Free Dental Clinic of Greater Cleveland to save teeth that were planned to be extracted due to lack of available endodontic care.

Following dental school, Dr. Jakob enrolled directly at the highly acclaimed Lutheran Medical Center graduate endodontic program (NYU Langone). He has been in full-time private practice since graduating residency in 2014.

In 2016, Dr. Jakob opened Midtown Root Canal Specialists, a premier endodontic practice in NYC that is committed to providing a broad range of surgical and non-surgical endodontic procedures. His practice has a 5-star Google review rating with over 150 reviews! He lectures on the use of Microscopes and CBCT in endodontics to those in his local dental society.

Dr. Jakob is a specialist member of the American Association of Endodontists, American Dental Association, and Alpha Omega Dental Fraternity.

Academics aside, Dr. Jakob is very fun to be around! He is a seasoned BMX bike rider, and enjoys skiing, snowboarding, swimming and kayaking. Dr. Jakob also enjoys spending time with his lovely wife and family.
